How to Cook

Cooking pork ribs can be a delicious and satisfying endeavour. Here’s a simple method to prepare tender and flavourful ribs, whether you choose to grill, bake, or use a slow cooker. Below are instructions for both oven-baking and grilling.

### Oven-Baked Pork Ribs Instructions:

#### 1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

- **Season the Ribs:** Rub the ribs generously with salt, pepper, and any dry rub you prefer. Let them sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavours.

#### 3. Wrap the Ribs
- Place the ribs on a large piece of aluminium foil, bone-side down. Wrap them tightly in the foil to create a sealed packet. This helps to keep the moisture in while they cook.

#### 4. Bake the Ribs
- Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours. This low and slow cooking method will make the ribs tender.

#### 5. Finish the Ribs
- **Optional Glaze:** After baking, carefully unwrap the foil (watch for steam). Brush your favourite barbecue sauce over the ribs.
- **Broil:** For a caramelized finish, place the ribs under the broiler for about 5-10 minutes. Keep a close eye on them to avoid burning.

#### 6. Serve
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then cut between the bones to separate them. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side if desired.

### Grilled Pork Ribs Instructions:

#### 1. Preheat the Grill
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (around 300°F/150°C). If using a charcoal grill, set up for indirect grilling.

#### 3. Grill the Ribs
- **Indirect Heat:** Place the ribs on the grill away from direct heat (on the cooler side of the grill). Cover the grill and cook for about 2.5 to 3 hours, turning occasionally. You can also add wood chips to the grill for a smoky flavour.

#### 4. Finish with Sauce
- **Glaze the Ribs:** In the last 20-30 minutes of cooking, brush your barbecue sauce over the ribs. Continue to cook with the lid closed, turning occasionally, until the sauce is bubbly and caramelized.

#### 5. Serve
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before cutting. Serve with extra barbecue sauce if desired.

### Tips:
- **Cooking Time:** Ribs are typically done when they are tender and the meat has pulled back slightly from the bones.
- **Dry Rubs:** Add one of our delicious marinades to your basket, a perfect addition to our extra meaty pork ribs
- **Slow Cooker Method:** If you prefer, you can also cook ribs in a slow cooker. Place them in the slow cooker with your favourite sauce and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

Enjoy your delicious pork ribs!
